Dress Rehearsal: Rockets Release 2023 Preseason Schedule

The Houston Rockets will play five preseason games from Oct. 10-20

The Houston Rockets released their preseason schedule on Wednesday. They will play five games from Oct. 10-20.

Here is the schedule...

Tuesday, Oct. 10: Indiana Pacers at Houston Rockets at 7 p.m. CT

Thursday, Oct. 12: Houston Rockets at New Orleans Pelicans (in Birmingham, Ala.) at 7 p.m CT

Monday, Oct. 16: Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs at 7 p.m. CT

Wednesday, Oct. 18: Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs at 7 p.m. CT

Friday, Oct. 20: Miami Heat at Houston Rockets at 7 p.m. CT

It is uncertain how many minutes starters and key bench players on the schedule will have at this time. However, it's likely that most Rockets players will be on the floor at some point in preseason games.

The same goes for their opponents, as we may see San Antonio Spurs No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama take on Rockets centers Alperen Sengun and Jock Landale twice.

The main attraction will be Ime Udoka making his Rockets coaching debut. Udoka preached defense with the Boston Celtics in 2021-22 and Houston added two of the best defensive players in the association this offseason in Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks.

We may catch a glimpse of that starting Oct. 10.
