Rockets Free Agency: Nuggets' Bruce Brown Meeting with Houston

Denver Nuggets forward Bruce Brown was a key player in the team's championship run. Could he sign with the Houston Rockets in free agency?

The Houston Rockets are looking to target a current NBA champion in free agency this summer.

According to The Athletic's Kelly Iko, the Rockets are meeting with Denver Nuggets wing Bruce Brown at the start of free agency.

Brown is coming off a strong season with the Nuggets averaging 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 80 games. He proved to be an important contributor during Denver's NBA Finals run, averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 20 playoff games.

Brown is set to meet with a number of teams outside the Rockets as well, including the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers. He's also been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers and a return to the Nuggets as possible solutions in free agency.

Free agency kicks off tonight at 5 p.m., where all 30 teams can begin negotiating and reaching verbal agreements with players in and out of the organization.
