San Antonio Spurs guard Devonte' Graham is going to be sitting on the sidelines for a while.

After pleading guilty to a DWI charge that occurred as a result of a traffic stop in Wake County, N.C. in July 2022, the Spurs guard has been suspended for two games, per The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Graham, who was playing for the New Orleans Pelicans at the time of his arrest, was pulled over for speeding on July 7, 2022. He reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was taken to the Wake County Detention Center after blowing a 0.11 BAC (breath alcohol concentration) on the breathalyzer test. North Carolina's state limit is 0.8 BAC.

Per the report, the Wake County District Attorney's office said the speeding charge was dismissed. The DWI is a misdemeanor, and Graham will have his sentencing on July 27.

Graham, 28, played 53 games with the Pelicans before they traded him to their Southwest Division rival Spurs. He averaged 5.3 points per game last season with New Orleans, but saw an increased role once he got to San Antonio.

In 20 appearances and eight starts with the Spurs, Graham played 26.4 minutes per game while averaging 13 points, 2.5 rebounds and four assists. He reached the double-digit scoring mark in 14 of those games, which included a 31-point performance in his Spurs debut on Feb. 10 against the Detroit Pistons.

With the Spurs needing to cut a few players from the roster before the season begins, this certainly doesn't help Graham's case to make the team. But if he does, he won't be around for the first two games of the season.
