Spurs Ex Robert Horry to Appear on FOX's 'Special Forces'

Robert Horry played with the San Antonio Spurs from 2003-08. Now, he's taking his talents to a new type of competition.

Former San Antonio Spurs champion Robert Horry is getting that competitive itch back.

Horry, who turns 53 later this month, was named as one of the celebrities participating in FOX's "Special Forces."

FOX says of season two of the reality competition series: “It’s FOX’s ultimate celebrity social experiment, ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,’ returns … enlisting a troop of household names to endure some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process. … The recruits will be faced with the harsh reality of winter warfare training on the mountains of New Zealand where the terrain and freezing temperatures are brutal and the tasks will feel like torture.”

Who is on the show competing against Horry? The collection of mostly Hollywood types: former Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, Tyler Cameron, Savannah Chrisley, Blac Chyna, Brian Austin Green, Erin Jackson, Bode Miller, Jack Osbourne, Tara Reid, Kelly Rizzo, Tom Sandoval, JoJo Siwa, and Nick Viall.

Horry played with the Spurs from 2003-08, and was part of the championship rosters in 2005 and 2007. During his NBA career, he won seven championships ... two with the Spurs, two with the Houston Rockets in 1993-94 and three with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2000-02.

The show premieres on FOX on Monday, Sep. 25 at 8 p.m.
