Suns Welcome Huge Test vs. Jazz Tonight
The Phoenix Suns have won three games in a row, but a potential fourth to add to their streak would send quite a message.
Tonight, the Suns (12-6) welcome the visiting Utah Jazz (12-9), the lone team to defeat Phoenix in their last five games played.
Speaking of streaks, Utah is on their own three-game skid after dropping contests to the Warriors, Clippers and Pistons.
Both teams have plenty of firepower on the bench and set to miss action:
Suns-Jazz Injury Report (via NBA.com)
Utah
OUT | Mike Conley (popliteus strain left leg)
OUT | Rudy Gay (third MCP joint sprain left hand)
OUT | Ochai Agbaji (G League - On Assignment)
OUT | Leandro Bolmaro (G League - On Assignment)
OUT | Johnny Juzang (G League - Two-Way)
OUT | Micah Potter (G League - Two-Way)
Phoenix
OUT | Chris Paul (right heel soreness)
OUT | Jae Crowder (not with team)
OUT | Cameron Johnson (right meniscus tear)
Despite their current losing streak, the Jazz are keeping their sights set forward.
"Obviously we want to win every game but over the course of 82 games, there is some variance. I think it’s about us as a team, staying focused on the right things," said Utah head coach Will Hardy.
Perhaps the Suns, who they defeated 134-133 in one of the best games of the season thus far, provide some familiarity.
Phoenix hopes not, as they've slain dragons such as the Warriors, Clippers and Mavericks thus far. Avenging a tough Utah team is next on their list.
Opening tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Arizona time. The Suns are currently 6.5 point favorites on SI Sportsbook.
