One Suns Analyst Points out Irony in Draymond Green, Warriors Treatment

Phoenix Suns personality ESPO reacts to Draymond Green & Jordan Poole's fight in practice on Wednesday.

Maybe the Phoenix Suns just aren't held to the same standard.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green apologized for punching teammate Jordan Poole in Wednesday's practice, according to team general manager Bob Myers.

We expect Golden State to discipline Green again, but we don't expect him to miss a game on top of the punch.

"These things happen. Nobody likes it, we don't condone it, but it happens," Myers said, according to ESPN. "Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room. … As far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally."

The altercation allegedly started with the two trash-talking players before Green got in the face of Poole, resulting in Green hitting Poole.

"He will tell you he has been over that line but he always comes back," Myers said. "Nobody is saying they don't want him around ... but [Wednesday] was not a good moment. ... I don't think he likes putting himself in these spots. He is in one, but I think he'll find a way to earn the respect of his teammates and Jordan back."

Video of the fight, obtained by TMZ Sports, shows Green launching the shot.

It was reported that Poole's demeanor during training camp led to the altercation, a report that head coach Steve Kerr shot down.

"There was a report that Jordan had an attitude in camp, and that could not be further from the truth," Kerr said. "He's been fantastic."

After catching wind of the video, ESPO, who is the host of and head comedian of the PHNX Suns show, and Vice President of Content and resident heel for PHNX Sports, shared his thoughts.

"I’m just going to say it. The vibes don’t seem to be great in Golden State. Green isn’t happy. Their body language is off. Just write them off. Oh wait, that’s only said about the Suns."
