Benches clear after heated exchange in Wolves-Suns game

Bradley Beal and Anthony Edwards were each assessed technical fouls.

The benches cleared during Sunday afternoon's game between the Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns at Target Center in Minneapolis after Anthony Edwards and Bradley Beal appeared to exchange words.

Beal and Edwards were both issued technical fouls for the incident that offset, and the game went on. The Suns were leading Sunday's game 66-53 at halftime.

Sunday's game is an important one for both the Suns and Timberwolves as each are vying for positioning in the postseason. The Timberwolves still have an outside shot at the top seed in the Western Conference.
