Draymond Green Defends Jordan Poole's Missed Final Shot vs Lakers

Draymond Green liked Jordan Poole's shot.

The NBA world is pointing fingers at Jordan Poole for missing a potential game-tying three against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1, but not Draymond Green

Poole hoisted up a very deep three against the Lakers that many NBA fans believed to be a bad shot. Draymond Green went on The Draymond Green Show to address the shot, to which he immediately defended it.

"I know everyone's talking about the last three that he missed," Green said. "Quite frankly, I liked the shot. Obviously, you tell him to eat up the space and take the three a little bit closer, he could've eaten up the space. Jordan can shoot the ball, and he got a good look at it. Yes, you want him to take a couple of steps in and get an even closer three, but Jordan taking that three is not why we lost that game."

If Draymond Green could re-live the situation again, would he still have Jordan Poole take the shot? It sure sounds like it.

"I know everyone is going to point at that play and say 'he should've never shot that three', prior to that three he was 6 for 10. You got a guy 6 for 10 that you know can shoot the piss out of the ball, you get an open three and you live with it. There was some things I personally could have done to make sure we weren't even in that situation."

Simply put, the Golden State Warriors need to play better basketball against the Lakers in Game 2, or this will be short series.
