NBA Reveals Decision for Draymond Green Stomping on Domantas Sabonis

Draymond Green will not face any real consequences.

Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors are incredibly lucky. Green won't be facing any significant consequences for stomping on Domantas Sabonis.

A report by Shams Charania states that Draymond Green will unlikely be suspended for Game 3 against the Sacramento Kings for stomping on Domantas Sabonis. Charania added that sources around the situation expect Green to only receive a fine.

Many players in the NBA have been suspended for far less, and Draymond Green is incredibly lucky he won't be receiving severe punishment. One has to wonder if he wasn't on the defending champions who are in a very pivotal Game 3, would he still not receive a suspension?

By this point, Green has more leeway with the referees at how much he screams at them every game and gets away with more than most players do in the league. He's aware of how much he can get away with, and pushes the limits every time without significant consequences, even dating back to 2016.

Regardless, all of this is incredibly fortunate for the Golden State Warriors. Game 3 is a game that will make or break the defending champions, and they're going to need everyone available to overcome the 2-0 deficit. If the Warriors lose Game 3, consider the series a wrap, because no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit. Draymond Green needs to be smarter in Game 3, or the Warriors are done.
