Green did acknowledged that Sacramento could improve this season, saying, "The Kings may get better I hope."
Green's follow-up ended up being correct, as Sacramento secured the third-seed, and could very well end up facing Golden State in the first round of the playoffs. With this potential matchup looming, one report revealed that Kings players remember this disrespect from Green:
"Draymond Green mentioned 'I can't get up to play teams like the Kings.' And I remember talking to Harrison Barnes specifically about that and he's like, 'Oh, yeah, we've talked about it, and the team has talked about it.'" - @kayte_c says the Kings remember

Green recently said on an episode of his podcast that he would welcome a first round matchup with the Kings, stating, "I'm not upset if the standings shook out how they did today and we met Sacramento in the first round. Not because I think Sacramento is a weak team, because the travel is so much easier."
Green continued, saying, "The reason why I said Sac is simply just because of the travel. That's a lot on your body. If we can bus ride an hour and 10 minutes up the way, I just think that’s much better for us. At the end of the day, I don't really care who we play in the playoffs, I think we can win.”
