Bengals Land Brock Bowers, Patrick Paul in Latest PFF NFL Mock Draft

Cincinnati could put its offense in hyperdrive over the coming years with these selections.

CINCINNATI — Bengals fans could be over the moon if the latest mock draft from PFF plays out like the site projects across the opening two rounds.

Trevor Sikkema has the Bengals taking Georgia tight end Brock Bowers at Pick 18 and Houston offensive tackle Patrick Paul at Pick 49.

Bowers is the consensus best tight end in the class and the sixth-best player overall.

"Bowers’ stock is all over the place," Sikkema wrote. "Some have him going No. 5 to the Chargers, while others have him dropping to the end of the top 20. Still, the Georgia product is one of the best receiving tight ends we’ve seen come through, but I wonder whether the league will be more cautious on first-round tight ends, given how Kyle Pitts has not been given the kind of volume that justifies top-10 value."

Paul is ranked 44th on the consensus big board and ninth among offensive tackles. The one drawback with Paul is he never consistently played right tackle in college.

The 6-foot-7, 315-pound mauler could still be a solid addition to the offensive line room as well as a candidate to replace Jonah Williams should he leave in free agency.
