Cardinals Host Penn State Edge Rusher

The Arizona Cardinals need help along the edge - perhaps Chop Robinson could of assistance.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are hosting Penn State EDGE player Chop Robinson on a Top 30 visit, according to ML Football.

"Penn State star pass rusher Chop Robinson has a TOP-30 visit with the Arizona , sources say. Robinson, posted unprecedented Combine numbers and has 9 top-30 visits as his stock continues to rise."

The Cardinals tallied just 33 team sacks last season, third-worst in the NFL.

Arizona has a plethora of picks to use in the 2024 NFL Draft with 11 selections currently in their pocket, which includes two in the first and six total in the first three rounds.

Robinson is expected to be available late in the first or early in the second, where Arizona has picks 27 and 35, respectively.

Robinson is considered to have a high athletic ceiling that has been compared to the likes of Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett.

More from his NFL.com draft profile:

"Edge defender who offers the type of elite athleticism we’ve seen from players like Micah Parsons and Myles Garrett. Robinson might not be as fast as Parsons, but he’s close. He’s ultra-twitchy with the explosiveness to get on top of blockers and overwhelm them in an instant. However, he will need to level up his hand skills and attack angles to reach his potential against NFL tackles. Robinson’s electric athletic traits alone should give him a floor as a good NFL starter. If he crafts a rush approach and learns to string moves/counters together, he could reach his ceiling as a destructive force capable of forcing teams to game plan around him" - Lance Zierlein

The first night of the draft begins on April 25.
