Cardinals Labeled Fit for Day 1 CB

The Arizona Cardinals and Kool-Aid McKinstry could be quite the pairing.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are in the hunt for plenty of premier players during the 2024 NFL Draft, but one prominent name could be a great match in the desert.

Bleacher Report recently tabbed the Cardinals as a fit for Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry

"Even after bringing in Sean Murphy-Bunting, the Cardinals could use some extra talent at cornerback. It was one of the team's biggest weaknesses last year and Starling Thomas V is currently slated as a starter after giving up 80.4 completion percentage and 142.8 passer rating when targeted last season, per PFF," wrote Matt Holder.

"So, this would be another spot where McKinstry could be a day-one starter and contribute as a rookie. Granted, Arizona's supporting cast, specifically its pass rush, isn't much to write home about, but the opportunity to make an immediate impact is there."

You can never have too much depth at the corner position, and though Arizona would likely be comfortable rolling with Murphy-Bunting and young guns such as Kei'Trel Clark, Garrett Williams and Thomas V, adding more talent to the room would be a welcome sight after they upgraded the front seven heavily in free agency.

It's unknown exactly where the Cardinals could land McKinstry at in the draft, as he's fallen from CB1 status and could be more accessible around pick 27 as opposed to pick 4.

Still - life could be pretty sweet with Kool-Aid in the mix.
