Cardinals to Meet With Projected Top Wideout

The Arizona Cardinals are meeting with Rome Udunze.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are set to meet with Washington WR Rome Odunze, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson.

"Washington WR Rome Odunze, projected to be drafted early in the first round, tells me he has upcoming meetings with the Cardinals, Jets and Bears at those teams’ facilities. The Giants also flew him out for a meeting after the combine," he wrote on Twitter/X.

Odunze confirmed he also met with Arizona at the NFL Combine earlier this month. The Cardinals are reportedly meeting with Odunze, Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, as their interest in adding a top target for Kyler Murray appears to be serious - and as it should.

The Cardinals lost Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore over the course of the offseason, and while they added Chris Moore in free agency, Arizona looks to add another top wideout to pair alongside Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch.

More from Odunze's NFL.com draft profile:

"A team captain with good size and elite ball skills, Odunze consistently dominated his competition. While most receivers look to open separation windows with speed or route running, Odunze seems to relish jump balls and contested catches. He shines in all aspects of ball skills, including positioning, body control, hand strength, timing and mid-air adjustments. He has a tendency to cruise through routes rather than working with attention to detail and pacing. He was a decorated high school sprinter, so speed should not be an issue in the pros. He’s a high-volume target on the next level that play-callers can utilize to mismatch finesse cornerbacks. Elite ball skills are often the secret sauce for top NFL receivers, so it should not surprise if Odunze is a Day 1 starter who becomes a top-flight WR1." - Lance Zierlein

The Cardinals have pick No. 4 and 27 in the first round with six total in the first two days of the draft.
