Cardinals Meet With Slot WR

The Arizona Cardinals could add to their WR room with this Day 2 pick.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals continue to do heavy work on receivers entering the 2024 NFL Draft, as a new name has now entered their radar.

Washington WR Jalen McMillan reportedly met with the Cardinals, according to ML Football.

Arizona has 11 total selections in the draft, with two in the first round and six total in the first three rounds.

The Cardinals are favorites to draft a receiver with their first pick in the draft, which could come at No. 4 or later if general manager Monti Ossenfort chooses to trade down. Arizona could also look to target a receiver such as McMillan on Day 2 as well.

"Overall, McMillan is a talented prospect who projects best as a versatile slot receiver at the next level," Damian Parson wrote on The Draft Network. "His route-running, speed, and creative usage will create multiple avenues for his OC to get him the football. I expect him to be a three-level slot with chain-moving ability in the short/quick game. He’s reliable."

The Cardinals recently traded away starting slot receiver Rondale Moore with Greg Dortch in the fold to take those reps, though it's no secret Arizona's wideout room lacked size in 2023. McMillan's 6-1 frame provides an upgrade in that department.

The 2024 NFL Draft begins on April 25.
