Fastest Receiver in Draft Visiting Cardinals

Texas Longhorns WR Xavier Worthy is visiting the Arizona Cardinals, per reports.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals continue their work on wide receivers.

Per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport on Twitter/X:

"#Texas WR Xavier Worthy, who broke the Combine record for the 40 with a 4.21, is visiting the #AZCardinals today, source said. As they continue to do work on the top WRs. He was with the #Bears yesterday."

More from Worthy's NFL.com draft profile:

"Worthy’s draft slotting could come down to draft-room debates weighing his elite speed versus his thin frame. Worthy will find separation if allowed to explore vertically or across the hashes against man coverage, but he lacks play strength and release quickness to defeat a quality NFL press. His quick-strike potential adds an element of danger over the top and should open wider windows for teammates to work into. He lacks the physical tools to catch when contested and needs to prove he can hold up to a more physical brand of football. Worthy is a niche prospect for teams looking to add a legit field-stretcher, but areas of concern could create a wider gap between ceiling and floor." - Lance Zierlein

After losing Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore over the offseason, the Cardinals are projected to draft a receiver fairly early in the 2024 NFL Draft. Arizona has a total of 11 selections with two in the first round and six picks in the first three rounds.

Other WR's Arizona has hosted/will host include Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze, Brendan Rice, Jacob Cowing and Jalen McMillan.

The 2024 NFL Draft begins on April 25.
