Cardinals: We Trust Monti Ossenfort

Arizona Cardinals players trust in Monti Ossenfort to get the job done.

ARIZONA -- We're nearly a week away from the 2024 NFL Draft, and all eyes are on the Arizona Cardinals.

With quarterbacks expected to go 1-3 in the draft, many believe the Cardinals' No. 4 pick could sway the rest of the draft with a massive decision following general manager Monti Ossenfort: Stick or pick.

It's a conversation that's been had for months in the desert, and it feels like a decision - one way or another - won't come until the Cardinals are on the clock. Arizona could walk away with a top wide receiver option or choose to move down the draft board in exchange for more draft picks.

It's arguable that the Cardinals' top need entering April 25 is at wide receiver, but tight end Trey McBride believes Arizona will be fine in any direction Ossenfort takes them.

"The (receivers) we have in that room are phenomenal players. There is a ton of talent," McBride said. "I have no idea what we are going to do in the draft. What we hear in the media isn't always necessarily true. It's going to be exciting.

"I trust in Monti. I trust in the guys upstairs. That's their job, to get this team right and to draft the players we need. I trust in their decisions fully. I'm super-excited for the talent they are going to bring in."

The Cardinals have met with plenty of receivers after seeing Rondale Moore and Marquise Brown depart in free agency.

Arizona has 11 total picks, with two in the first and six in the first three rounds.
