Cardinals LB Joins Division Rival

The Arizona Cardinals are losing LB Zeke Turner to a division rival.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are losing LB Zeke Turner to the San Francisco 49ers, according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson.

"Ezekiel Turner gets a one year deal with #49ers with prime opportunity to showcase skill at Iinebacker and as a core special teams contributor. Deal per his agents," Wilson reported on Twitter/X.

Turner - who will be 28 this summer - signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and has been with the organization up until this offseason.

Turner's been mostly available for the Cardinals, playing no less than 15 games in three of the last four seasons in the desert. He's started just one game each of the last two years.

Arizona is losing a core special teams player in Turner, who has logged 83% and 81% of snaps in that phase the prior two years. He's played in just 5 and 11% of defensive snaps in that time, respectively.

Turner tallied 20 tackles for the Cardinals in 2023.

The Cardinals have previously signed LB Mack Wilson to the roster, who is expected to start either as an inside linebacker next to Kyzir White or as an edge player.

Arizona also signed special teams ace DeeJay Dallas from the Seattle Seahawks.
