Colts Named Best Landing Spot for Cardinals WR

Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown would be a great fit on the Indianapolis Colts, according to The 33rd Team.

ARIZONA -- The status of Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown will be worth monitoring as free agency approaches for a variety of reasons.

Brown - formerly a first-round pick - hadn't found his footing in either Baltimore or Arizona prior to where he's set to land in the coming weeks.

Brown is surely still the speedster he was at Oklahoma that can take the top off of a defense, though injuries and lack of production have largely highlighted Brown's opening tenure in the league.

Now, Hollywood will seek his next home.

The 33rd Team went through and projected the best landing spots for some notable names about to hit the market.

For Brown? It was the Indianapolis Colts.

"The Indianapolis Colts are hopeful they can sign Michael Pittman Jr. to a long-term deal this offseason. But if they can't, look for them to use the franchise tag. But even if Pittman returns, the Colts need to add another playmaker to their offense," wrote Marcus Mosher.

"Josh Downs and Alec Pierce are two of Indianapolis' recent Day 2 picks, but the Colts need a bonafide No. 2 receiver who can stretch the field with speed to pair with Pittman.

"Marquise Brown would be a fantastic fit in Indianapolis, especially with Anthony Richardson. While Brown might be a tad overqualified to be a No. 2 receiver, putting him in a dome with a quarterback who can throw the ball 80 yards would be a sight to see. It will cost the Colts a lot to sign Brown, but he might be the missing piece to take their offense to the next level."

It's currently unknown what Brown will seek in the open market, though Spotrac has Brown's estimated market value at $14.8 million per season while PFF is projecting Brown to net a one-year deal worth $12 million.

Arizona will likely look to add more talent coming in the 2024 NFL Draft, where they're expecting to add the elite hands of players such as Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers.
