Chargers News: Opening Lines For Bills Matchup Revealed

The Bolts have no chance, unfortunately.

A disastrous season for the Bolts will end with a 3-game stretch that includes matchups with 3 potential (and 2 likely) playoff teams: the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs.

One of these likely teams, the Bills, are on the calendar for this Saturday, where the Bolts will open as 12-point underdogs (per BetMGM).

Being at home for this matchup, the Chargers received a 3-point boost, suggesting that if this game were to be played at a neutral site, they'd be 15-point underdogs, and if it were to be played in Buffalo, they'd be 18-point underdogs.

This sounds about right, as the Bolts are a total mess following a season-ending injury to Justin Herbert.

The Bills, on the other hand, are 3-1 since the firing of offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and the subsequent promotion of Joe Brady, with their sole loss coming in overtime against the 10-3 Philadelphia Eagles, in which they put up 34 points.

In their 3 wins, they've been dominant, defeating the Chiefs in Arrowhead, the Cowboys by 3 touchdowns, and the Jets by 26 points.

After the Chargers lost by 42 points to a mediocre Raiders squad, oddsmakers seem to be convinced that they'll lose by at least 2 scores to the Bills, but given how they've looked, I personally think it's going to be even more of a blowout than that.

The one argument that definitely keeps the Bolts alive in the betting conversation is garbage time, as Buffalo will likely take their foot off the gas in the second half, given that they're probably going to be leading by 15+ points.

While Josh Allen dices up Giff Smith's squad, enjoy the tank. Things can only go up from here.
