The Los Angeles Chargers will hold eight draft picks in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. After an awful 2023 season that saw them finish with a record of 5-12, the Bolts will be looking to the draft to fill some needed holes in their roster.

They have one pick in the first round, selecting 5th overall. One in the second round at 37th overall, one in the third round at 69th overall, one in the fourth round at No. 105, one in the fifth round at No. 140, one in the sixth round at No. 181 and two picks in the seventh round at No. 225 and 253.

This gives the Bolts some flexibility to work with and they could always trade up or down to make moves. There has been talk about them potentially moving down in the first round to net them more draft assets.

The Chargers have a need at the wide receiver position after releasing Mike Williams and they also need more help along the offensive line. With new head coach Jim Harbaugh now in the mix, the Bolts are expected to heavily beef up the trenches, notably on the offensive side to protect star quarterback Justin Herbert.

Harbaugh loves to build teams with strong play from his lineman, on both sides of the ball. This should give the Bolts more physicality going forward, as they look to bounce back from a poor season.

It should be an interesting draft season for the Bolts and one that could provide them with building blocks for the future.
