Chargers Release Bittersweet Tribute Video to Keenan Allen

The Charger bid farewell to Keenan Allen with a bittersweet tribute video.

It is a really weird thought to know that Keenan Allen is no longer going to be playing for the Los Angeles Chargers. The former perennial WR refused a pay cut and was unceremoniously traded to the Chicago Bears after his refusal.

Allen will likely finish out his career with the Bears and should offer the team a huge upside in terms of pass-catching abilities. While it might sting for fans to know that Allen is no longer a Charger, the team attempted to soften the blow by releasing a tribute video to him.

The nearly two-minute-long video showcases the moment the Chargers drafted Allen, to the countless highlight catches the man made during his time with the team.

After spending 11 seasons all with the Chargers, Allen secured five Pro Bowl nods, five 1,000+ yards seasons, and a total of 10,530 yards and 59 TDs with the team. There is no doubt that he will be added to the Ring of Honor for the Bolts once his career has wrapped up.

Sadly, he will not finish out his career with the Chargers. It will be odd to see him in another jersey, but football is a business, and sometimes business can rear its ugly head. Allen's departure is part of that ugly business.
