Chargers News: LA Misses Out On Trade For Rising Wideout

Or does it?

As your Los Angeles Chargers presumably prepare to shore up their offensive depth around Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert, it sure seems like they're letting a lot of pieces go off the board as the NFL's transaction period really kicks off.

Per Jake Trotter of ESPN, ex-Denver Broncos wide receiver has been flipped to the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is shipping fifth- and sixth-round selections in 2024 to compensate the Broncos for their trouble. The agreement will become official on Wednesday, when the 2024 NFL season will actually commence.

The 24-year-old Jeudy notched 54 total receptions across 758 yards last season, along with two touchdowns. He will presumably play behind Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper and Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku. Currently on the fifth and last year of his rookie deal, Jeudy is earning $13 million next season. He would have been a Mike Williams upgrade for Los Angeles, but oh well.
