With 259 total picks in the NFL Draft this year, picking a favorite can be tough, but in a panel of ESPN analysts, new Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson was picked twice.

Richardson was picked by Matt Bowen and Jason Reid on ESPN's list of favorite picks in the entire NFL Draft.

Quarterback Anthony Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts at No. 4. New Colts coach Shane Steichen can scheme for Richardson's dual-threat traits like he did with Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia. This is a really good spot for his pro development. -- Matt Bowen, ESPN

Reid doubled down on backing Steichen to get the most out of Richardson's other-worldly ability.

Richardson to the Colts at No. 4. To say he wowed scouts at the combine would be an understatement, so it was no surprise he went so high in the draft. And for Richardson, he lands in a great place for his development. He'll grow under the tutelage of Steichen, who knows how to get the most out of his quarterbacks. -- Jason Reid, Andscape via ESPN

Steichen was hired in large part by the Colts because of his track record with varying skillsets. Phillip Rivers and Jalen Hurts could hardly be farther apart in how they play the quarterback position, but both thrived under Steichen.

In Richardson, the Colts drafted arguably the most physically gifted quarterback prospect ever to enter the NFL. He was erratic with his passing at Florida in his one year as a starter, but his ceiling is through the roof.

The Colts have been lauded for staying patient at No. 4 and getting Richardson. Lauded to the point where Richardson is considered the most exciting pick in the entire draft.

A bold statement the Colts are hoping Steichen can turn to reality.
