Multiple NFL Draft Prospect Visits on the Docket for Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are bringing in multiple prospects for visits ahead of the NFL Draft.

As the NFL Draft keeps getting closer by the day, the Indianapolis Colts and the rest of the league are adding more and more prospects to their list of visits. 

The most notable leaked visit was that of Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud. But multiple visits have been leaked recently, so let's look at the upcoming visits on the docket for the Colts.

LB Kyle Soelle - Arizona State

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Colts had a pre-draft visit with Arizona State LB Kyle Soelle yesterday, April 11. Soelle is a physical linebacker who makes his assignment feel his presence no matter his task, whether it's in coverage or the run game. He projects best as a MIKE LB at the next level. While he may not fit the Colts' starting opening at their WILL spot, Soelle should be a solid special teams contributor due to his physicality and overall football IQ. 

CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse - LSU

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Colts were visited by LSU CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse yesterday, April 11. Bernard-Converse has a great combination of size and athleticism at the CB position, which has mattered mightily to the Colts in the past. He also already has experience playing on special teams, which is always a plus when the Colts look at prospects on Day 3 of the draft. 

Defensively, Bernard-Converse has shown a knack for press coverage but would probably need a solid amount of coaching before he would be ready to play corner in the Colts' scheme. But his off-the-charts athleticism will entice teams come Day 3 of the draft. 

TE Johnny Lumpkin - Louisiana

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Colts have a visit scheduled with Louisiana TE Johnny Lumpkin. Lumpkin’s size at 6’5 would fit well in a Colts TE room that is full of large-framed players such as Jelani Woods, Mo Allie-Cox, Pharoah Brown, and Drew Ogletree. 

Lumpkin lacks the level of athleticism the Colts usually covet at the TE position, but shows solid jump ball ability by utilizing his size to win reps. Lumpkin is a developmental TE on projected to go on Day 3 of the draft.
