The Indianapolis Colts, like every team in the NFL, had to wait until 12 p.m. EST on Wednesday to find out what players had cleared waivers.

Once the deadline passed, teams were free to sign players to their 16-man practice squads. The Colts wasted little time in getting their practice squad filled.

They announced their 16-man practice squad at roughly 2:30 p.m. EST.

Indianapolis Colts Practice Squad:

CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart
CB Kevin Toliver II
DE Al-Quadin Muhammad
DT Caleb Sampson
LB Liam Anderson
LB Donavan Mutin
RB Jason Huntley
RB Jake Funk
S Henry Black
S Marcel Dabo
S Ronnie Harrison Jr.
T Dan Skipper
WR Mike Strachan
WR Amari Rodgers
WR Juwann Winfree
WR D.J. Montgomery

The Colts raised some eyebrows when they cut veterans Al-Quadin Muhammad and Ronnie Harrison, but they were able to bring them both back.

Muhammad had six sacks for the Colts in 2021 before playing in a reserve role for the New Orleans Saints last year.

Harrison has played five seasons in the NFL, two with the Jacksonville Jaguars and three with the Cleveland Browns. He has 45 starts and five interceptions in his career, including five starts with the Browns last year.

Amari Rodgers was a third-round pick of the Green Bay Packers just two years ago. He was released by the Packers in November of last year and claimed by the Houston Texans.

He has 20 catches for 249 yards in his two seasons in the NFL. He also served as a punt and kick return man for both teams.

It's been a busy week for the Colts. They announced their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday afternoon, but they claimed three players off waivers including offensive linemen Josh Sills (from Philadelphia Eagles) and Ryan Hayes (from Miami Dolphins), and linebacker/edge defender Isaiah Land (from Dallas Cowboys).

Expect more movement from the Colts as they shuffle their roster ahead of their first game on September 10th against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rosters moves are common the first-three weeks of the NFL season until the teams settle in, and the Colts are no different.
