Washington Commanders BREAKING: Coach Ron Rivera FIRED; Not Much 'Conversation' with Owner Josh Harris on 'Black Monday'

The Washington Commanders' season ended with a 38-10 demolition at the hands of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field in what is now officially Ron Rivera's final game as head coach.

“Disappointed in the way we played in the second half,” head coach Rivera said. “I thought we did some good things early on in the game and expected us to play better in the second half, so that was disappointing.”

And the disappointment now stretches into "Black Monday" as Rivera is out of a job.

The season is now over and the Commanders hold the No. 2 overall pick. It was an open secret that Rivera would be relieved of his duties.

On Sunday, Rivera did state that he is planning to meet with owner Josh Harris.

“I am going to meet with him at some point tomorrow, so we’ll look forward to the conversation,” he said.

That conversation was obviously a short one.

Times are changing in the nation's capital and the season that began with a lot of promise and a 2-0 start, has ended in sour fashion. No doubt there will be plenty of change for Washington going forward.

And that change starts today with the dismissal of Ron Rivera.
