Cowboys vs Redskins: Inactives show health disparity between rivals

Washington is suffering in the secondary, and all around, with injuries.

The inactives lists are out for Washington and Dallas ahead of their 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff to jumpstart Week 2 in the NFC East. Things seem a bit lopsided, especially considering Washington spent the week putting RB Derrius Guice and DL Caleb Brantley on injured reserve.

Still, there are a number of injured players as opposed to healthy scratches for the Redskins. No. 2 and No. 3 corners, Quinton Dunbar and Fabian Moreau are both inactive, leading to a heavy workload for rookie Jimmy Moreland and veteran Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

TE Jordan Reed is also out once again, meaning a bigger dose for Jeremy Sprinkle. Also out are DE Jonathan Allen and QB Colt McCoy, both with up-in-the-air return dates.

The healthy scratches are along the offensive line, where Ross Pierschaber and Wes Martin will sit.

On Dallas' side, the healthy scratches are the biggest news.

2017 first-round pick Taco Charlton and 2019 second-round pick Trysten Hill, are both inactive. Charlton is being mentioned in trade discussions and Hill hasn't been good enough to crack a deep rotation.

WR Tavon Austin, the biggest threat to duplicate the deep attack enacted by DeSean Jackson last week, is out with a concussion.
