Dallas Cowboys Victims of Dirty Play by Jamal Adams and Seahawks on Jake Ferguson; NFL Fines Revealed

FRISCO - What Jamal Adams did after the "Thursday Night Football'' game in Dallas - attacking the wife of a reporter online because the reporter dared to criticize his poor performance in a Cowboys win - wasn't the only nasty thing  he has been found guilty of.

The NFL has handed down fines for the dirty efforts of Adams and teammate Quandre Diggs on a play involving Dallas tight end Jake Ferguson, who as he fought his way toward the end zone after a reception found his head being rattled about by Seahawks hits ... and then found himself confronted by Adams, who crossed the line again with contact after the whistle.

Diggs and Adams are each being fined $10,927 by the NFL for their behavior in the Cowboys' victory. Oh, and Ferguson is absorbing a $5,812 fine for getting tangled up in the mess.

In the end, for the ill-tempered Adams, that is really just the tip of the iceberg of his failure that night as the Seahawks dropped to 6-6.

He was obviously irate at Ferguson's big gain off a short toss by Dallas QB Dak Prescott.

He was even more irate when his inability to cover Ferguson meant a Dallas touchdown.

And when somebody on social media dared to judge his defensive acumen on that TD catch by writing, "Yikes,'' Adams came unglued, first by making fun of the critic's wife and here appearance in a family photo that Adams took the time to dig up, and then by continuing his tone-deaf campaign with the following defense ...

"You go low,'' he said, "I'll go lower.''

Good and well. But now he's been fined $10,929. So the price tag on Jamal Adams' failures this week just went .. not lower, but higher.
