'False Claim!' Dallas Cowboys Ex Target Odell Beckham Jr. Faces Nightclub Assault Complaint
FRISCO - Odell Beckham Jr. got "the bag.'' But his detractors will also suggest he's "got the baggage'' - and there is more evidence of that if an accuser is to be believed, as OBJ has been named as a suspect in an assault investigation.
Beckham, who was courted by the Dallas Cowboys before this offseason signing a one-year, $15 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, was at a Los Angeles night spot several weeks ago and was allegedly involved in an incident in which a woman went to police claiming the NFL superstar put his hand around her neck.
Law enforcement officials tell TMZ Sports the alleged incident occurred at "Delilah,'' with the woman claiming the 30-year-old Beckham approached her and "grabbed her throat with light pressure,'' as explained by TMZ, which has also spoken with "a rep for Odell'' who insists the allegations are false.
In fact, the rep told TMZ that his circle is not aware of any investigation and that they have not been contacted by police. TMZ adds that per its sources, even following the alleged altercation, both the woman and Beckham remained at the club throughout the night without further incident. ... and that it was "a few days later (when) police met with the accuser and she filed a report.''
John Terzian, owner of the L.A. hotspot, told TMZ, “We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos, the claim is false. There is no evidence of this person even being in the area where she claims the incident occurred.
