FRISCO - Dez Bryant has lived a dream, as the forever Dallas Cowboys will be the first to tell you.

So why not spend a day dreaming about the Cowboys acquiring both Cardinals Pro Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins and Rams Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey?

Dez is communicating long-distance with Ramsey, tweeting to him, “I heard the next stop is the big D” … complete with eyeball emojis.

That’s quite a bit different from the Dez connection with Hopkins, who has in the last two weeks been hanging around in DFW with Bryant while “speaking to Dallas.”

Ramsey has been openly discussed in LA as a trade candidate this offseason, the six-time Pro Bowler.

Bryant believes Ramsey is destined to land in Dallas. … or maybe Dez is just hoping he can speak it - or, well, tweet it - into reality.

The idea of landing Ramsey is without argument an intriguing one for the Cowboys; pairing him with Pro Bowler Trevon Diggs would elevate the Dallas secondary to elite status.

There is the nagging $25 million cap hit for Ramsey that must be dealt with, just as there is Hopkins’ nagging $27 million APY salary.

Meanwhile, Cowboys boss Jerry Jones is continuing to make noise about doing something “special” this offseason.

“Don’t dismiss us doing something special with the right veteran free agent,” Jones said. “At any place. I would, in a New York minute, if I think that it fits more than a short-term situation for us.”
