Bill Belichick Confirms His Media Role For 2024 NFL Draft

Six-time Super Bowl winning coach Bill Belichick announced that he will be advising during the NFL Draft next week

Former Patriots and six-time Super Bowl winning coach Bill Belichick announced that he will be partnering with Pat McAfee for the upcoming NFL Draft. Belichick will serve as a co-host alongside McAfee during ESPN's coverage next week, beginning Thursday April 25 8PM ET.

The draft is "likely the first step in an expected partnership" with ESPN and Payton Manning's Omaha Productions.

"I am looking forward to it," Belichick said on the Pat McAfee Show. "Draft day, draft weekend, is always an exciting time for everybody. Its a great event. I'm looking forward to seeing it from the other side."

This is the first time in over 50 years that Belichick wont be advising an NFL team on the draft. He has stayed engaged and updated though, and is preparing with his usual pre-draft routine. "Sort of like what I've been doing," Belichek told McAfee. "Watching players, specifally the ones that might be involved in our show, so the guys in the top part of the draft...Just trying to do some preparation. I watched a lot of these guys in the fall, even some last year when they weren't coming out but they were still factors...It's fun to keep up with it."

Lets hope Belichick drops his usual "Coach Gruff" act and shows some personality along with insights about what NFL organizations might be thinking as the live draft progresses.
