Background:
Brandon Council competed in basketball, track and field, and football at West Bladen High School. At the University of Akron, Council started in nine games at left guard in 2017. In 2018, he started at right tackle for three games before an injury ended his season. In 2019, Council started in 12 games and took snaps at left tackle, left guard, center, and right tackle. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management/Sport Studies at Akron before transferring to Auburn University for graduate work in the College of Education. In 2020, Council suffered another season-ending injury. After returning from knee surgery, he went on to earn the 2022 Offensive Lineman of the Year award for the Tigers.
