Originally from Montgomery, Alabama. Duncan finished his collegiate career at Mississippi State. As a freshman, he played in eleven games and was part of the special teams unit. As a sophomore, played in ten games, totaling forty six tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and two interceptions. During junior season, he started in all thirteen games, totaling forty six tackles, which ranked second highest by a safety on the team, and 1.5 tackles for loss. This season he appeared in 13 games accumulating 55 total tackles (28 solo), 2 sacks, 5 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and one interception.
