Background:

Gabe Hall, coming out of Waller High School in Texas, received a three-star grade from both ESPN and 247 Sports. Hall earned an All-District selection and competed at the state level in shot put prior to joining the Baylor Bears. Hall had the opportunity to play in 8 games as a true freshman in the 2019 season, however, his season was shortened due to a knee injury that sidelined him for 6 games. Hall ended his freshman season with 3 tackles and a blocked kick. The knee injury continued to have adverse effects as he redshirted the 2020 season, only playing in a single game in which he accrued two tackles. In 2021, Hall started in eight of 13 games played and ended with 18 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, and was second on the team in sacks with 6. That season, Hall became the first Baylor player since James Lynch in 2019 with three sacks in a single game at Kansas State. As a redshirt junior in 2022, Hall elevated his production to 33 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. In terms of accolades, Hall earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention after his 2022 season and was a two-time member of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
