Originally from Northville, Michigan. Attended Northville High School. As a freshman, he played in all thirteen games, converting ten of his eleven attempted field goals. During his sophomore season, he played in all thirteen games and made six of nine attempted field goals. During the shortened 2020 season, he played in all six games, had twenty nine kickoffs, fourteen touchbacks, and converted one of four attempted field goals. As a senior, played in all fourteen games, converting twenty three of twenty five attempted field goals, and fifty six extra points, which set a school record. Won the 2021 Lou Groza Award, which is given to the best kicker in college football. He decided to use his extra year of eligibility. During the 2022 season, he played in all fourteen games, making twenty nine of thirty five attempted field goals and making all sixty of his attempted extra points. Named to the 2022 All-Big Ten First Team.
