Eagles Champion, Fan-Favorite Predicts Team Will Take Step Forward In 2024

Philadelphia could end up winning a lot of games in 2024 after a big offseason

The Philadelphia Eagles have some work to do.

Philadelphia was one of the best teams in football to begin the 2023 season but fell apart in the second half of the season. The Eagles were red-hot to kick off the season and won 10 of their first 11 games but struggled down the stretch and didn't live up to expectations.

The Eagles have responded in a major way this offseason and could have the best offense in football in 2024. Philadelphia's offense lost star center Jason Kelce but the club did make some intriguing additions. The Eagles added running back Saquon Barkley and seem to be in a good spot.

Philadelphia will have some more additions on the way soon with the 2024 National Football League Draft quickly approaching. Philadelphia should be in a good spot next season and former Eagles pass rusher Chris Long seems to agree, according to Forbes' D.J. Siddiqi.

"Two-time Super Bowl champion and former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long believes his former team will be just fine entering the 2024 season," Siddiqi said. "The Eagles ended the 2023 season on a rough stretch, losing six of their final seven games. The disastrous ending to their season was puzzling considering they were 10-1 through 11 weeks of the season — the best record in the NFL...

“NFL season is like treading water," Long said as transcribed by Siddiqi. "You go under, you're trying to get back above water. You take a big breath, you get dragged down. It's a roller coaster of emotion. Sometimes it has to happen in the offseason. The Eagles team was not great last year and we thought they were great. They fooled us for a little bit. They'll be better this year.”

Long knows a thing or two about finding success in Philadelphia and it sounds like he thinks the Eagles will find plenty in 2024.
