Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott put on a performance in Philly's 27-13 preseason loss to the Indianapolis Colts Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

He showed off his range during the Eagles last tune up before the regular season, making field goals of 52 and 59 yards. In total this preseason, he went 5 of 6 with makes from 59, 56 and 52 yards.

Elliott was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but was cut before ever making an appearance. He didn't last long as a free agent, signing with Philadelphia the same day that the Bengals cut him.

As a rookie, he played a crucial role for the Eagles on their way to defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Elliott has spent the entirety of his career with Philadelphia and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. He signed a five-year, $19.3 million contract in 2019 with the Eagles.

In a league were some teams struggle to find consistency at the kicker position, with many cycling through them, Elliott has brought consistently good, dependable play to Philadelphia's roster. He's not often talked about amongst the league's best kickers, but the numbers don't lie.

Over six seasons with the Eagles, he has made 138 out of 163 field goals and 226 out of 237 extra points. In 2021, Elliott made the Pro Bowl after going 30 for 33 on field goals with a long of 58 yards.

In his second game with Philadelphia, he knocked in a 61-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to beat the New York Giants 27-24. The kick not only began a nine-game winning streak, it also broke the record for the longest kick in Eagles history.

Elliott and Philadelphia will kick off the regular season on the road against the New England Patriots on Sept. 10 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
