Things were teetering on disaster for the Philadelphia Eagles on Christmas Day at Lincoln Financial Field against the New York Giants

New York pulled within two points of Philadelphia in the third quarter after cornerback Adoree' Jackson picked off quarterback Jalen Hurts and returned it 76 yards for a touchdown.

It was the 13th interception of the season for Hurts, a very concerning trend considering that he was picked off 19 total times across his first three seasons. However in this case, tight end Dallas Goedert slipping might have contributed more to the interception than a bad decision by Hurts.

Local product Saquon Barkley capped things off with a successful two-point conversion attempt, pulling the Giants within two at 20-18. The Eagles responded with a quick eight-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to extend the lead back to 27-18.

While the Eagles have already clinched a playoff spot, at 10-4, they're still trying to edge out the Dallas Cowboys for the NFC East title. Dallas dropped to 10-5 with a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Dolphins Sunday, so the Eagles have a chance to reclaim control of the division Monday evening.
