NFL Draft: Falcons Meet with CB Gemon Green at Michigan Pro Day

The Atlanta Falcons reportedly showed interest in Michigan cornerback Gemon Green at his Pro Day.

The Atlanta Falcons' coaching staff and scouting department are in the full swing of 2023 NFL Draft prep, currently headlined by Pro Day's across the college football landscape.

One productive stop for the Falcons was at the University of Michigan, where several potential top-100 picks - like the NFL Combine's fastest cornerback in D.J. Turner - worked out in front of evaluators.

But according to Pro Football Network, the Falcons expressed interest in Turner's running mate, cornerback Gemon Green, as the two sides met at the Wolverines' pre-draft showcase.

Green, who measured in at 6-1, 183 pounds, had a "terrific session of position drills," per PFN, and impressed in the testing portion, running the 40-yard dash between 4.49 and 4.56 seconds and reaching 37.5 inches on his vertical jump.

Green, 23, spent five years at Michigan, redshirting as a freshman before growing into a steady contributor. He largely saw action on special teams in 2019, logging six tackles.

Across his final three seasons, Green started 22 games at cornerback, including 10 of 13 games played as a redshirt senior in 2022; he finished the campaign with 20 tackles and four pass breakups while earning all-Big Ten honorable mention.

A native of DeSoto, Texas, Green finished his Michigan career with 71 tackles, 15 passes defended and one interception across 42 games (24 starts).

And now, after a strong Pro Day performance, Green finds himself on the Falcons' radar ahead of April's draft.
