Falcons Top-30 Draft Visits: Syracuse CB Garrett Williams, Oregon DE DJ Johnson
The 2023 NFL Draft process is nearing its end - and visits are in full swing.
With all-star games and the NFL Combine now in the rearview mirror, things are taking shape as to which teams are interested in certain prospects.
For the Atlanta Falcons and the rest of the league, bringing in prospects for top-30 visits is particularly telling, as only 30 players are brought in, making the usage of such a visit important to the evaluation process.

Iowa TE Sam LaPorta
The Falcons scheduled a pre-draft visit with LaPorta as far back as early March ahead of the Combine, the talented tight end told Falcon Report.
Florida State DB Jammie Robinson
A Georgia native, Robinson had a "great" formal meeting with the Falcons at the Combine - and, per The Draft Network, set up a pre-draft visit.
"Being from Georgia, being able to help (the state of) Georgia win a Super Bowl, that's what it's about - I want to win a championship," Robinson told Falcon Report.
Tulane RB Tyjae Spears
According to The Draft Network, Spears had a two-day visit with the Falcons on Mar. 19 and 20.
Michigan State WR Jayden Reed
A field-stretcher who offers return value, Reed posted a picture inside the Falcons locker room with the caption "Dirty Birdsss" to his Instagram story. He arrived late Monday afternoon (Mar. 20) and toured facilities Tuesday.
Mississippi State DT Cameron Young
Young told SI's Falcon Report he believed that he met with Atlanta at the Combine, and now, per The Draft Network, has had a top-30 visit with the Falcons.
The 6-3, 315-pound Young started all 13 games for the Bulldogs this past season and had 37 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack.
Northwestern DL Adetomiwa Adebawore
At 6-2, 282 pounds, Adebawore stole the show at the NFL Combine after running a 4.49 40-yard dash - just over a month after a standout showing at the Reese's Senior Bowl.
Adebawore is considered to be a versatile, penetrating defensive lineman who could play both three- and five-technique ... and per The Draft Network, he's had a pair a top-30 visits - one with the Falcons and the other with the Chicago Bears.
A third-team All-Big 10 selection, Adebawore is projected to be a late-first to early-second-round draft pick.
Ole Miss WR Jonathan Mingo
Per WBCI News, Mingo, a fast-rising wideout, has several visits scheduled - including the Falcons.
The 6-2, 220-pound Mingo earned second team All-SEC honors this past season after hauling in 51 passes for 861 yards and five touchdowns.
Alabama DB Brian Branch
Growing up just outside of Atlanta, Branch told SI's Falcon Report that it would be "huge" playing for the Falcons, noting he'd be "very comfortable" from the start.
And according to colleague Aaron Wilson, Branch has a top-30 visit with the Falcons ... in addition to a formal meeting. He's viewed as a top-20 pick.
TCU WR Quentin Johnston
Viewed as a potential first-round pick, Johnston has many fans within league circles - and according to Wilson, has visited Atlanta.
Georgia Tech DL Keion White
Standing 6-5, 285 pounds, White shines with versatility and athleticism on the defensive front.
According to The Draft Network, White has a laundry list of visits that includes Atlanta.
Texas LB DeMarvion Overshown
A converted safety, Overshown earned first team All-Big 12 honors for the Longhorns this past season as he set career highs in tackles (96), tackles for loss (10) and sacks (four).
Overshown had several top-30 visits, including the Falcons, according to NFL Network.
Auburn DE Derick Hall
Per Wilson, the Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars had in-person visits with Hall, a team captain at Auburn who was named first team All-SEC by league coaches after recording seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss.
Kentucky QB Will Levis
A potential top-10 pick and one of the draft's best signal callers, Levis is set to visit the Falcons - having already met with the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts and scheduled to meet with the Tennessee Titans, per The Score.
Illinois DB Sydney Brown
According to The Draft Network, Brown will voyage to Atlanta for a top-30 visit.
The Ontario native was a five-year starter for the Illini and finished his career with an All-American super Senior season while racking up six interceptions, second most in college football.
Ohio State WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba
The Falcons have met with top wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who could easily be the first wide receiver taken in the draft, according to NFL Network.
Should the Falcons draft Smith-Njigba, it would be the third consecutive year that Atlanta would take a pass catcher with its first selection.
Clemson DE Myles Murphy
Murphy, a native of nearby Marietta, Ga., is widely viewed as a first-round pick and is set to visit Atlanta during the pre-draft process, per NFL Network.
The 21-year-old Murphy met formally with the Falcons at the Combine - here's what he told SI's Falcon Report about playing back home and how his meeting went.
"It's been a thought," Murphy said. "I've seen the mock drafts - some family members (and) cousins have showed me it ... I grew up watching the Falcons, my parents have been season ticket holders for them. It's a good feeling to have that formal interview with them, sit down with the GM, the coach.
"It was a good conversation."
Syracuse CB Garrett Williams
Following a torn ACL this past season, Williams is on track to be ready to go this summer - and per Wilson, has visited the Falcons in addition to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos.
Top-30 visits are often key for medicals and Williams' trip to Atlanta certainly fits the bill.
Oregon DE D.J. Johnson
Tied for fifth in the Pac-12 in sacks with six this past season, Johnson completed top-30 visits with the Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders, according to The Draft Network.
