The Cleveland Browns announced the signing of defensive end Bryan Cox Jr., a third year defensive end who has played 19 regular season games as a member of the Carolina Panthers. They had waived linebacker Malik Jefferson to create the roster space.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been able to completely change their defense this year by adding Devin Bush and Minkah Fitzpatrick. Along with mainstay Cameron Heyward and budding star T.J. Watt, the Steelers defense has been very effective. Those guys set the tone and present the biggest challenge for the Cleveland Browns as they get set to take them on Thursday, the first or two games in three weeks.
Freddie Kitchens: Eric Murray Not Likely to Make it Back This Year
Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens, in his only media availability before the team faces off against the Pittsburgh Steelers, said that defensive back Eric Murray was not likely to be back this year, indicating he's likely headed to injured reserve. That roster spot could go to Drew Forbes, who has to be activated tomorrow to be back on the roster this season.
The Inherent Conflict With Kareem Hunt
The Cleveland Browns defeated the Buffalo Bills in no small part due to contributions from running back Kareem Hunt. Running, blocking and catching passes, he did a little bit of everything and was impressive in all of it, but it proved difficult to ignore the past that contributed to his being on the team.
