LOOK: Madden Puts Atlanta Falcons Ex Michael Vick on Cover

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was unveiled as the new cover athlete for EA Sports' Madden 24 video game.

For the first time in over 20 years, former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick will grace the cover of EA Sports' Madden annual NFL video game. While Josh Allen was announced as the cover athlete for the release of Madden '24, the latest installment in the 35-year franchise, Vick will be on the game's cover for a short period.

But why, you ask? Well, as part of Madden's "Ultimate Team" mode, which allows users to essentially create their own dream team of current, former, and even future (come draft season) NFL players, Vick will be a featured "card" that can be acquired.

Thanks to being put back on the cover of Madden starting on November 15, when Madden's "Season Three" officially starts, players can expect to earn a 93 overall Vick card. Regarding where that would rank him currently among quarterback cards already released, the former Falcons signal-caller would be the highest-rated player at his position.

So far, only current Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes comes close to Vick's rating at 92 overall. At the same time, Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys), Warren Moon (Houston Oilers), Joshua Dobbs (Minnesota Vikings), C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans), Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos), Troy Aikman (Cowboys), and Kurt Warner (Los Angeles Rams), all sit at 91.

Vick becomes the third cover athlete for this year's Madden, following Allen (Season One), and Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss (Season Two).

While fans will have to wait to use Vick in Madden, they will also have to wait to see the Falcons play due to being on their bye week. The next time the Falcons take the field won't be until Sunday, November 26th, when they will host the New Orleans Saints.
