The Atlanta Falcons welcome the resurgent Houston Texans to town as the home team hopes to get things back on track after consecutive losses since starting the season 2-0. Losses to Jacksonville and Detroit have followed wins over Green Bay and Carolina.

Things are clicking for the Texans at 2-2 after losses to start the season against Baltimore and Indy. With wins over Jacksonville and Pittsburgh the past two weeks, optimism is high in Houston that rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud is the long-term answer. Stroud and wideout Nico Collins connected for 168 yards on seven catches for two touchdowns last week. That's the most receiving yards by a Texan since 2020.

Falcons second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder isn't providing answers in Atlanta, just criticism. He turned the ball over three times in last week's loss to the Jaguars. To make matters worse, the Falcons have scored just one touchdown in the past two games.

The Texans are looking for their first three-game winning streak since winning nine in a row in 2018 as their trajectory continues to trend upwards under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans. But the return of Falcons corner Jeff Okudah last week from an ankle injury could provide problems for Stroud and the Houston offense.

The home team has won each of the last five games in the series with the Texans leading the overall matchup 3-2.
