Giants CB Deonte Banks, C John Michael Schmitz Inactive vs. Eagles

Banks misses his second game due to injury; Schmitz his fourth.

East Rutherford, NJ - New York Giants cornerback Deonte Banks, who continues to deal with a shoulder issue that kept him out of the lineup last week, is inactive for a second straight week after receiving a doubtful injury designation.

Banks was replaced in the lineup by Nick McCloud, one of the Giants' gunners. The expectation is that McCloud will once again get the start with the rookie ailing.

Center John Michael Schmitz, listed as questionable with a shin injury, is also inactive this week. He'll be replaced by Ben Bredeson, who moves over from right guard to fill in at center.

This is the fourth game Schmitz has missed due to injury. He missed three games earlier this year due to a shoulder ailment.

The rest of the Giant's inactive list--all "healthy" scratches--includes receiver Parris Campbell, outside linebacker Benton Whitley, defensive lineman Timmy Horne, and tight end Tyree Jackson, and quarterback Jacob Eason (emergency QB).

Eagles running back DeAndre Swift (illness), who was listed as questionable, is among the inactive players, as is receiver DeVonta Smith (ankle), who was declared out on Friday. Cornerback Darius Slay, guard Tyler Steen, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, and quarterback Tanner McKee are also inactive for Philadelphia.
