Giants Adding Receiver Jamison Crowder

The Giants have agreed to terms with another slot receiver who also has punt return experience.

The New York Giants are signing wide receiver Jamison Crowder to a one-year deal, according to NFL insider Josina Anderson.

Crowder, 5-foot-9 and 177 pounds, was initially a fourth-round draft pick by the Commanders in 2015. He played four seasons with Washington before joining the Jets in 2019, where he spent three seasons.

Last year, Crowder was with the Bills, appearing in just four games, his season limited by a broken ankle.

The 29-year-old Crowder has appeared in 100 regular-season games with 51 starts. He's spent most of his career in the slot (2,514 snaps) versus playing out wide (762 snaps).

Crowder has caught 415 out of 624 pass targets for 4,667 yards (11.2 yards/reception) and 28 touchdowns. He also has rushed 17 times for 82 yards in his career, the last time in 2020 with the Jets.

His best season came in 2016 as a member of Washington when he logged career highs in receptions (67), yards (847), and touchdowns (seven). Crowder has a career catch rate percentage of 66.5% and has just five dropped passes over his last three seasons.

Crowder also has return experience, having returned 95 punts for 777 yards and one touchdown (the score coming while with Washington).

The Giants currently have Isaiah Hodgins, Sterling Shepard, Wan'Dale Robinson, Parris Cambell, Collin Johnson, Jeff Smith, David Sills V, and Darius Slayton amount their receivers under contract.
