Giants Re-sign LB Jarrad Davis

Davis joined the team late last year and started int he final three games for the Giants.

The New York Giants have signed linebacker Jarrad Davis to an undisclosed deal, the team announced.

Davis was initially a first-round pick by the Lions in 2017 out of Florida. He played in 67 games with 50 starts for the Lions in 2017-2020 and again in 2022. (He was with the Jets in 2021.)

The 6-foot-1 and 245-pounder spent the 2022 season on DEtroit's practice squad before being signed by the Giants to their 53-man roster on December 28.

Davis, 28 years old, started the Giants' Week 18 regular-season finale against the Eagles, recording 11 tackles and a half sack. He then started both postseason games, registering seven tackles and one quarterback hit.

Davis has appeared in 68 career games with 51 starts. Over those games, he's registered 344 tackles (226 solos), 11 sacks, 24 quarterback hits, 20 tackles for loss, seven forced fumbles, one interception, and ten pass breakups.

Davis had been due to be an unrestricted free agent.
