The Giants signed running back Javorius “Buck” Allen and have waived rookie Jon Hilliman.

Allen, 6-foot, 218 pounds, was originally a fourth-round draft pick (125th overall) by the Ravens out of USC in 2015.

In four seasons with the Ravens, Allen appeared in 54 games with six starts and rushed for 1,249 yards on 340 carries with eight touchdowns and added 814 receiving yards on 129 receptions and six touchdowns.

Allen was signed by the Saints on May 28, 2019, but landed on injured reserve at the start of training camp with an undisclosed injury. Allen was later released with an injury settlement and spent the start of this season rehabbing from his injury.

Allen was part of a free-agent workout group that the Giants hosted Friday.

Hilliman was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Rutgers. He began the season on the Giants’ practice squad but was promoted to the 53-man roster when Saquon Barkley suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 3.

Hilliman, 6-foot, 226 pounds, appeared in three games for the Giants with one start. He rushed 30 times for 91 yards and catching three passes for 1 yard.

However, he had issues with ball security, fumbling three times in the last two weeks, his fumble against the Patriots squashing a promising Giants scoring drive.

In an earlier roster transaction, the Giants waived running back Austin Walter, whom they had promoted from their practice squad before their Week 6 game against the Patriots, and re-signed quarterback Alex Tanney, who they had cut to make room for Walter.
