Pending Giant UFA Receiver Projected as Good Fit for this AFC Team

Parris Campbell didn't fit in with the Giants, but the pending UFA could fit in with the Bengals, which, if things fall a certain way, could bring the Giants a 2025 comp pick.

The New York Giants have 29 pending free agents, many of whom they won't be re-signing. But that doesn't mean there won't be interest in a few of them by other teams around the league in search of talent.

One such pending free agent that could draw interest from other teams is wide receiver Parris Campbell, who, after signing last off-season with the Giants on a one-year deal, seemed to fade from the team's plans by mid-season, where he was often among the inactive players.

Although Campbell didn't work out for the Giants, that doesn't mean the former Colts receiver can't help another team. The Pro Football Network's Jay Morrison believes Campbell would be a good fit for the Cincinnati Bengals, who are expected to be in the market for a receiver to replace Tyler Boyd.

Campbell appeared in 12 games with three starts and caught 20 of 27 pass targets for 107 yards with the Giants. Were he to join the Bengals, who have Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins (assuming he re-signs with the Bengals) on the receiving end of passes thrown by quarterback Joe Burrow, Campbell could be more productive.

As for the Giants, they're expected to add a No. 1 receiver to a core group that includes Darius Slayton, Wan'Dalle Robinson, and Jalin Hyatt, which is likely coming via the draft.

If the Giants do indeed lose Campbell in free agency, as is the expectation, they could be eligible to receive a comp pick in 2025, depending on what kind of deal Campbell signs and what the Giants end up doing in free agency this year that could potentially offset that transaction.
