Packers’ 2023 Offseason Depth Charts Without Free Agents

From Robert Tonyan to Adrian Amos, and Mason Crosby to Keisean Nixon, here is how the Green Bay Packers' depth charts would look without their free agents.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Ranging from longtime standout Mason Crosby to surprise star Keisean Nixon, the Green Bay Packers have 14 players set to become unrestricted free agents next month.

With the Packers staring at a $20 million hole in their salary cap – perhaps more if quarterback Aaron Rodgers is traded – keeping even a few of those players is going to be a challenge.

Eight position groups could be impacted, perhaps none more than safety. Four-year starter Adrian Amos, the steadying member of the secondary, leads the group. Two players who were signed last offseason, Rudy Ford, an impact backup and player on special teams, and Dallin Leavitt, an ace on special teams, will join Amos in free agency. There will be a market for all three.

Two-thirds of the No. 1 defensive line, Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed, will be free agents, as well.

With the negotiating period set to begin on March 13 and free agency officially starting on March 15, here’s how those depth charts look with the free agents crossed off the lists.

Note: “IR” notes players who ended the season on injured reserve. “PS” notes players who finished the season on the practice squad and have been given a futures contract. “F” notes players not with the team at the end of the season but were given a futures contract. Restricted free agents (three years of experience) and exclusive rights free agents (two or fewer years) are not crossed out because the Packers possesses contractual control over those players.)
